I am the co-founder of J & G Solutions, a certified small business specializing in construction, electrical, mechanical, and security contracting services. Our company is committed to delivering high-quality, mission-ready solutions to government clients across the Mid-Atlantic region. As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), we bring a unique perspective and sense of purpose to the federal contracting space, grounded in service, integrity, and reliability.
With over two decades of experience in government service, I previously served as a Supervisory Physical Security Specialist at the U.S. Social Security Administration. In that role, I led security programs and projects, including the design and deployment of complex electronic security systems, gates and barriers, high-level physical security assessments, and compliance initiatives aligned with federal regulations and interagency policies. I worked closely with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to ensure the highest standards of protection for personnel, assets, and facilities.
Before transitioning to the public sector, I proudly served in the U.S. Army and completed two combat tours in Iraq. My military experience instilled in me a mission-first mindset, a disciplined leadership style, and a deep respect for teamwork, accountability, and service.

Phil Gerber, Co-founder
Phil who is the other Co-founder is a seasoned Union Master Electrician, Estimator, and Project Manager with over 25 years of hands-on experience in industrial and commercial electrical contracting. His career has been built on a foundation of technical excellence, safety, and precision, having worked on a wide range of complex electrical systems across manufacturing facilities, commercial buildings, government installations, and high-security environments.
Phil’s expertise spans all phases of electrical work, including system design, installation, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and upgrades. He brings a sharp eye for detail and a strong commitment to code compliance and quality assurance, ensuring every job meets or exceeds industry standards. Whether overseeing a full facility build-out or a system retrofit, Phil consistently delivers results that are efficient, scalable, and long-lasting.
In addition to his technical proficiency, Phil has a strong track record in estimating and project management. He is adept at creating accurate cost projections, managing resources, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining client communication throughout a project’s life cycle. His leadership in the field has been instrumental in keeping projects on schedule and within budget, even under tight timelines and demanding conditions.Phil is also a natural mentor and team leader. He takes pride in training junior electricians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. His ability to build and lead cohesive, high-performing crews has earned him a strong reputation as a reliable and respected professional in the electrical industry.
